Mar. 21—Local authorities are already making rescues amid yet another deluge of rain across Southern California. The San Bernardino County Fire Department performed a swift water rescue on Tuesday, March 21, when a car that attempted to drive through deep water got swept more than 300 feet down the Cajon wash and was caught in a tree near Cajon Boulevard and Swarthout Canyon Road, according to spokesman Eric Sherwin. The driver was able to remove himself from the vehicle and waited as firefighters attempted to reach him, made more difficult by the rising waters and difficult terrain.
